On August 24, Ukraine celebrates the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the 1991 Act of Declaration of Independence. This document, passed during an extraordinary session of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR, proclaimed the creation of an independent Ukrainian state.
