Inspired by the best-selling and award-winning board game "War of the Ring," "War of the Ring: The Card Game" immerses players in the universe of "The Lord of the Rings." The game allows them to explore their own version of the trilogy using uniquely designed card decks that represent the strengths and weaknesses of the peoples and characters who fought in the War of the Ring.
Expansion: War of the Ring: The Card Game - Against the Shadow
The first expansion, "Against the Shadow," allows players to experience the adventure solo or cooperatively. The player(s) control the Free Peoples, using the standard rules and cards included in "War of the Ring: The Card Game."
An automated "Bot" controls the Shadow, using new decks that completely replace the cards included in the base set and are designed for solo/cooperative play. Combined with a simple flowchart, the new Shadow decks present a challenging task for one or two players.
