Expansion in English. Ukrainian rules are available as a PDF in the “Files” section or via this link.
“Underwater Cities: Data Era” is the second expansion to the strategic board game “Underwater Cities”. It introduces a new player-controlled resource — data discs. Unlike other resources in the game, data discs can be used whole or split into two halves. Players may split their data discs at any moment during the game.
Expansion Overview
This new resource unlocks additional actions for players. It can also be used to build a new type of structure — data processing centers (DPCs) — or to construct modern infocities, a new type of city under blue domes. These new buildings and cities provide fresh ways to score points during each production phase.
This expansion can be combined with both the base game and the first expansion “Underwater Cities: New Discoveries”. The new personal assistants, starting resource tiles in “Quick Start” mode, and metropolis tiles from this expansion are fully compatible with those from “New Discoveries”. All existing player boards are also compatible with this expansion. Additionally, “Data Era” includes upgraded building tokens that can be added to the game at your option.
We recommend watching the video rules in the “Video” section and, if desired, studying the illustrated PDF rules in the “Files” section.
One Last Note
Galu the Rooster is convinced that with this expansion, building an underwater megacity becomes significantly more diverse and strategic.
