Trust no one...
“Tortuga 1667” is a board game with hidden roles for 2–9 players aged 12+. You’re a pirate hiding your loyalty to France or Britain. Your goal is to gather and hold as much treasure as possible for your team.
Gameplay
Treasure is gained by attacking Spanish galleons with pirates from your ship, using voting cards. But beware— at the start, you don’t know if your crewmates are loyal. Uncover this through event cards. When the Spanish Armada event card is revealed, the team with the most treasure (counting all from the “Flying Dutchman,” Tortuga, and “Jolly Roger”) wins the game.
In games with an odd number of players, one is loyal to the Dutch. They can only win if Britain and France tie in treasure when the Spanish Armada card appears.
We recommend watching the video rules in the “Video” section and, if desired, diving into the illustrated PDF rules in the “Files” section.

We also suggest checking out the hidden-role board game “BANG!”. In this game, each player becomes a legendary Wild West character, taking on the role of sheriff, deputy, outlaw, or renegade.
