About the Board Game Pandemic Legacy: Season 1

The story spans twelve in-game months. For an entire year, a fearless and selfless team of specialists must combat relentlessly spreading diseases across the globe, facing not only cunning, mutating viruses but also the panic gripping city populations and the destruction trailing mass unrest.

Gameplay

Each in-game month, your team gets two attempts to rein in the global epidemiological crisis. If you fail the first try, you can play a second game, with the outcome—win or loss—determining your record before the next month begins with its own goals and challenges. Your choices echo forward: every attempt to defeat the pandemic alters the game itself—its rules, and even your characters, who gain new skills and scars.

Building on the core cooperative mechanics of “Pandemic”, this new iteration, “Pandemic Legacy,” throws players a challenge with a wholly unique experience packed with surprises. Legacy cards unlock as your team progresses, introducing new events and conditions for saving humanity while revealing fresh game components. Warning signs on the cards help avoid spoilers—each must be opened at its proper time. The same goes for stickers stored in 5 dossiers, whose gradual unveiling adds special effects to the game.
