"It’s finally dawned on my thick skull,” said Silver. “This is a compass: there it sticks out like a tooth—the peak of Skeleton Island. Now check where these bones are pointing!”
They checked. The corpse pointed straight at the island, and the compass showed east, southeast, and east."
The Game Treasure Island
"Treasure Island" is a thrilling board game about hunting for treasure on a deserted island, built around bluffing and map-based interaction.
In this game, you’ll test your skills at uncovering a hidden treasure. Only one player, taking on the role of Long John Silver, knows its exact location. The other players are pirates who’ve turned against Silver, taken him captive, and are interrogating him for clues about the treasure’s whereabouts.
The whole crew sets off to the island to claim the prize. But will Silver tell the truth? This weathered sea dog probably can’t be trusted. He might be leading everyone on a wild goose chase, only to suddenly escape, snatch the treasure, and sail off!
The game’s components are stunning and immersive—you’ll find beautiful player screens, a gorgeous double-sided island map, a treasure chest, special rulers, markers, a compass, and more! Your journey will be truly vivid and unforgettable!
Gameplay
Players take turns until someone finds the treasure. As mentioned, one player assumes the role of Long John Silver, who plays a pivotal part in the game. At the start, Silver secretly chooses where to hide the treasure, while the other players position themselves at a designated spot on the map.
Turns alternate, with distinct actions for the pirates and Silver. Silver manages the calendar, advancing days and triggering events. He also answers the pirates’ questions, providing clues when required—sometimes even drawing areas or hints on the map. The pirates, meanwhile, choose from a list of actions: moving across the island on foot or horseback, conducting searches, and gathering more intel about the treasure and the island. As the game progresses, the search area narrows, and players must make shrewd guesses until the final turn, when Long John Silver makes his escape.
Victory conditions depend on your role. The player as Long John Silver wins if he successfully escapes with the treasure—a challenging feat. A pirate player wins by claiming the treasure before anyone else.
