Buy seeds, harvest crops, and feed animals to become the owner of the perfect farm!
About the Board Game "My Happy Farm"
This is a card-based economic game for kids where the goal is to feed your animals as best you can. Each player manages 4 animals—a rabbit, cow, sheep, and pig. To keep them growing and happy, you’ll need to buy seeds and plant crops.
How to Play "My Happy Farm"?
Before starting, each farmer gets a personal farm board, 2 random seed cards, 2 coins, and a set of animal cards (each animal begins with 2 cards). On the table, set up the feeding and seed decks (the market).
Each round has two phases.
1. Crop Maturation
At the start of your turn, move all seed cards next to your board to the next season section—"Summer" or "Autumn." If they were by "Autumn," discard them—you didn’t harvest in time.
2. Taking Actions
On your turn, perform 2 of 6 possible actions:
- Buy 1–3 seed cards from the market, paying 1 coin per card to the bank.
- Plant seeds by placing seed cards from your hand next to your board’s "Spring" section. You can plant 1–2 cards of different types or up to 3 of the same type per turn!
- Harvest crops if your seed cards are by "Summer" or "Autumn," moving them to your barn. The barn holds up to 6 crop cards.
- Feed animals using crops from your barn, paying the crop amount shown on the feeding card.
- Sell crops to earn the coin amount listed on the card.
- Take 1 coin from the bank.
Game End and Scoring
If a player can’t play a new feeding card during feeding (because the deck runs out), the game ends after their turn.
Players tally points from collected feeding cards, earn bonus points for their longest-fed animal, and deduct points for hungry animals. The most diligent farmer wins!
We recommend watching the video rules in the “Video” section and, if desired, exploring the illustrated PDF rules in more detail in the “Files” section.
One Last Note
If serious strategy games are too complex for your child and memory games feel stale, Gallu the Rooster suggests "My Happy Farm." Simple rules, cute animals, and a metal tin make it a great gift for young board game fans.
If you enjoy farm themes, try the asymmetric game "Where's My Cabbage?", where you’ll play hide-and-seek in the garden.
