The Game Calico
“Calico” is a simple family game for 1-4 players, where each person stitches their own quilt from colorful patches, arranging them to earn as many victory points as possible.
Gameplay
On your turn, you play one of two tiles from your hand (each with two traits—color and pattern). Place the tile on your personal board, piecing together a quilt for your cats from these little puzzle scraps. Then, draw a new tile from the three available options.
Every cat loves a specific pattern type and shape on the quilt. Match both, and that cat’s yours. Manage to place three identical tiles next to each other, and you’ll snag a cute button worth extra victory points. At game’s end, tally your points from buttons, cats, and how well you completed your unique design.
