Everyone knows beavers are master dam builders, but it’s tough and risky work. Prove you’re the cleverest beaver and help your friends with this construction! Don’t let the dam collapse!
About the Board Game "Beaver Creek"
This is a dynamic dexterity game where you race to be the first to place all your logs, building a beaver dam without toppling it. Using two wooden dice, 2 to 5 players determine how carefully to stack logs and position adorable beaver figures.
Gameplay Overview
The rules are super simple. Each player gets a set of logs based on the number of players. The game box is flipped over, and the first beavers are placed in designated circles on the field. Then, players take turns rolling two dice and follow the instructions to place their logs and beavers. Once a player finishes placing (or if they damage the dam), the turn passes clockwise to the next player.
At first glance, the gameplay seems light and kid-friendly, but the dice faces can get tricky. You might have to place logs using both pinky fingers or your non-dominant hand (right-handers use their left, and vice versa), position a log and a beaver at the same time, or stack logs only on top of beaver figures. It takes real skill to keep the dam intact!
Dam Collapse
If you drop a log or beaver you’re placing—or knock over any part of the dam—your turn ends immediately. Everyone except you discards one log from their personal supply as your penalty for the damage (putting them a step closer to victory), while fallen dam pieces stay where they land. The last log a player has can’t be discarded this way to win.
Winner
The first player to get rid of all their logs wins. If the beavers run out, the player with the fewest logs left takes the victory.
