Welcome to the Bay! You step out of the taxi with a bag full of souvenirs. Sunlight pierces through the haze, revealing Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. San Francisco is a golden city in every sense!
About the Game
In this quick game from the Ticket to Ride series, players compete to visit the most landmarks and collect the most souvenirs along the way. The simple and elegant gameplay will appeal to both newcomers and experienced players.
The gameplay is familiar to those who know the series: draw cards, lay down routes, and fulfill ticket objectives, but instead of the traditional map, you’re in 1960s San Francisco. A game will typically last around 15 minutes.
How to Play
Each player starts with 20 cable cars, two transportation cards, and one or two destination cards. On your turn, you can either draw two transportation cards from the deck or the open supply of 5 cards (or a ferry card, which acts as a wild card), lay down a route by discarding cards matching the color of the route (gray routes can be completed with cards of any color, but require ferries), or draw two destination cards, keeping at least one.
When you lay down a route to one of the souvenir locations, such as Lombard Street, Embarcadero, or the Golden Gate Bridge, you also take a souvenir token from that location.
Players take turns until one of them has only 2 cable cars (or fewer) left. Then each player, including the one who triggered the end of the game, takes one final turn.
