Riftforce is a card-based duel strategy game where four different magical guilds try to form alliances, work together to destroy their opponent, and take control of the Riftforce.
The ancient elements have brought forth unique, unstoppable beings—Elementals—in this new era of chaos. But humans have also changed. Ordinary mortals, now called Enchanters, have learned to control the magical currents that flow through everything. They have tamed the Elementals and mastered the art of combining their powers. The elements, Elementals, and Enchanters clash in a fierce battle here, in the thrilling game of Riftforce.
The Element Guilds
Each player selects four guilds, each with 9 Elementals possessing different abilities:
- Fire
- Earth
- Light
- Plants
- Water
- Ice
- Shadows
- Crystals
- Lightning
- Air
The goal of the game is to capture your opponent's territory cards, destroy their Elementals, and gain 12 Riftforces. Riftforces can be earned either by defeating an enemy Elemental or by capturing territories.
How to Play
To start the game, lay out 5 territory cards, shuffle the Elementals, and choose one of 3 actions:
- Place up to 3 Elementals on territories.
- Activate up to 3 Elementals from the same guild and gain Enchanter status.
- Use an Elemental to capture one of your opponent's open territories.
Each subsequent game will follow a new scenario because there are countless variations of victory or defeat. Even when the first player reaches 12 Riftforces, the opponent has the right to take their final turn, and the winner will be the one with the most points.
The game is fast-paced and intense. With numerous possible endings, the tension remains high, and waiting patiently for a fatal blow to the enemy is not an option. Every move in the game is either a chance to conquer the world or a risk of losing everything. It all depends on the player’s analytical skills, as their mastery and cleverness will bring victory in this fantasy duel. Save the world from destruction and live in the enchanted realm of Riftforce.
