“Radlands” is a dueling card game with potent card synergy. Each player defends three unique camps, and to win, you must destroy all three of your opponent’s camps. Water is the game’s key resource—spend it to play people and event cards or activate abilities of cards already on the table.
About the Board Game Radlands
People with useful abilities guard your camps, while events deliver powerful effects that require setup. Both players draw from a shared deck. You can play all the cards in your hand or discard them for instant effects. Plan wisely to come out on top.
Gameplay
Place the shuffled camp deck, main deck, and extra water tokens in the center of the table. Each player draws 6 camp cards, selects 3, and returns the rest to the deck. Arrange your chosen camp cards in a row in front of you, leaving space above each for 2 cards—during play, you’ll place people here.
To the left of your camps, reserve space for an event queue column—here, you’ll place and shift event cards as the game progresses. Also, take (and place in front of you) 1 water tower card, 1 raiders card, 3 water tokens, and a reference card. Finally, draw cards from the main deck equal to the number indicated on your chosen camp cards.
Each turn consists of three phases:
- Events — Activate and/or move event cards.
- Hand Refresh — Draw one card from the deck and gain 3 water tokens.
- Actions — Play a card, draw a card, discard a card, use the water tower, or trigger abilities—perform these in any order as many times as you like, as long as you have water.
Water is the game’s lifeblood! At the end of your turn, all unspent water is discarded.
