About the Game

In the tabletop fantasy strategy game "Destinies," players step into the roles of these chosen heroes, competing to face their fated trials with honor and valor. The bleak world unveiled during play is ever-shifting. Heroes face daunting yet noble feats, demanding total dedication. To succeed, they must hone their skills and carefully select their gear—sometimes, a mere torch can tip the scales.

Gameplay

The rules of "Destinies" aren’t overly complex, thanks to a companion app that guides the process. It also eliminates the need for a game master—all players dive into the adventure! The base game offers five scenarios: one standalone mission to start with, and four linked by a narrative arc, played in sequence. First, players pick a scenario and their heroes, shouldering their burdens. Each hero has a unique destiny, kept secret from others—your goals might clash, so why give rivals an edge? Players take turns exploring locations, interacting with NPCs, and fulfilling quests: seeking artifacts, slaying monsters, and more. Managing your effort dice is key—choose between a guaranteed success or better odds across multiple checks.

Who Wins?

Victory goes to the player who first fulfills their destiny. When a hero is ready, they trigger their finale—and upon completing it, they win. But another player might start their finale later yet finish faster with better preparation, snatching the triumph. To launch your finale, head to a special location and activate an action unique to you. A hint on your destiny card reveals which spot is yours.
