The Game Mascarade
“Mascarade” is a fast-paced, thrilling board game built on secret role-switching and bluffing. Its designer, Bruno Faidutti, borrowed a similar mechanic from his renowned game *Citadels*. This time, though, there’s no building—just revelry at a ball, swapping masks one after another. The trick? Keep your identity hidden while avoiding bankruptcy!
Gameplay
Your goal in “Mascarade” is to amass 13 gold coins by leveraging each character’s unique abilities. On your turn, you can swap your character—or, thanks to the masquerade’s chaos, simply pretend to be someone else and use their power. The key is to bamboozle your rivals without losing track of yourself!
