The kingdom is in peril—it’s time to assemble the heroes! Build your dream team from the kingdom’s finest champions in this strategic fantasy card game and embark on an epic adventure filled with magic and treachery to save the realm from impending doom!
The Game Heroes & Wizards
Heroes & Wizards is a fast-paced game where players compete to assemble a winning combination of legendary heroes, swapping and stealing them from opponents. Easy to learn, this game is a fantastic addition to a family night or a friendly gathering, uniting seasoned strategists and newcomers to board gaming alike with its vibrant characters, interactive gameplay, and potential for tense, competitive strategy.
Gameplay
Each player starts with 3 random cards, kept secret from their rivals. On their turn, a player can take one of three actions: draw a new card from the deck (with a hand limit of 5 cards), play a card from their hand, or pass (discard any card except an event card into the discard pile).
- If you play a hero card (beige) in front of you, it joins your squad. All players can see each other’s squads. Heroes come in four types—Knight, Archer, Barbarian, or Thief—and a squad can only have one hero of each type. If you play a hero type already in your squad, the new card replaces the old one, and the original returns to your hand. Each hero has specific skills needed to complete quests.
- If you play a wizard card (blue), its special abilities, described on the card, take effect. Each squad can have only one wizard.
- If you play an event card (green), its effect activates, and the card is discarded. Event cards let you steal heroes from opponents, peek at their hands, and more.
- If you play a quest card (purple), your team saves the kingdom. To complete a quest, your squad must possess at least six matching skills listed on the quest card. Successfully playing a quest card wins you the game.
If the deck runs out before the game ends, the winner is the player who, on their turn, plays the event card “Giant Eagles Arrive.”
