"CATAN: Cities & Knights" is the second expansion for the iconic game "CATAN", but now it’s more complex. It’s also more engaging—and you’ll realize this the moment you play it with friends.

Expansion Overview

"Cities & Knights" introduces entirely new rules. They take some getting used to at first, which makes the game even more thrilling and interesting—especially since commodities have been added, and players now have cities in addition to settlements.

The addition of pirates transforms the entire gameplay experience. Now, when rolling the dice, you can anticipate their impact on your lands: defeating them earns you bonus points!

To protect against pirate raids, a city can be surrounded by fortress walls, and one city can even be declared a metropolis, earning you even more points.

Knights are introduced to help when pirates become too numerous and their behavior leaves much to be desired. Fighting and defeating bandits is the knights’ primary mission, which they perform admirably. Throughout the game, knights grow stronger and more resilient.

Knights can also be used to block other players from building roads.
